Tara Porter is a graduate student at the University of California, Davis in the School of Education. The majority of her studies center on the direction of Writing Across the Curriculum Programs in the United States. She has worked on the International WAC/WID Mapping Project (under the direction of Chris Thaiss, UC Davis) since 2006. In her dissertation research, she is exploring the various program elements that contribute to WAC program success and sustainability. She is also interested in the instruction of First Year Composition Class and the use of technology in writing.
She is currently a member of the Multimodal Assessment Project (MAP).
