I am a writing Instructor at Armstrong Atlantic State University and technology director of the Coastal Savannah Writing Project in Savannah, Georgia. I'm also finishing a dissertation at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City on teenagers composing in networked, online spaces with multiple modalities. I use Bakhtin's theories to examine their participation in these spaces and the ways they talk about this participation to get at evolving cultural models around communication within and across space(s).
