Christopher Rogers is currently a Master’s student in the Reading/Writing/Literacy program of the University Of Pennsylvania Graduate School Of Education. Born and raised in neighboring Chester, Pennsylvania, Mr. Rogers began to pursue a career in education after graduating from the Villanova School of Business in 2010 and realizing that the lack of educational excellence in impoverished, underserved, mostly minority communities constituted one of the gravest injustices of our generation. He seeks to investigate the integration of the digital, always-connected era into the classroom as well as looking at ways to enact social justice curricula in school and community educational spaces. He continues to reside in Chester, PA and seeks out many events and spaces that connect to his first-love, hip-hop. Mr. Rogers works to leave a legacy that asks us to critically consider what the world “is” on the way to envisioning and actualizing the world it “ought to be.”
