I am an English teacher at Manual Arts High School in South Central Los Angeles. I am also currently a doctoral student at UCLA studying critical literacies and mobile media in schools. In 2010, I was selected to serve as a U.S. Department of Education Classroom Ambassador Teaching Fellow. I'm currently helping rewrite the ELA standards for NBPTS.
